See Beyond Borders is providing a professional development and a mentor teacher training programme in Cambodia. This programme has three key phases – Core, Transition and Maintenance with the ultimate objective to develop confident and competent communities of teachers who are committed to professional development and quality teaching.
In 2017, four INTO members visited See Beyond Borders in Siem Reap and a learning exchange took place. Irish teachers and Cambodian educators shared respective challenges and possible future areas of collaboration. Following a meeting with INTO Officials and the President in March 2018, our solidarity fund is currently supporting this project to upskill newly qualified Cambodian teachers through CPD and furthermore is supporting an INTO
member volunteering for six months in Cambodia.
