30th November 2018
- Is a teacher-majority Council the best way to register and discipline teachers?
- Does the Teaching Council live up to INTO’s high expectations?
- Has self-regulation worked in the public interest across professions generally?
Questions like these will be examined by a highly expert panel on Monday evening next (10 December) at an event from 5 to 7pm in the Teachers’ Club. At 5 o’clock attendees who wish to put a written question to the panel may do so. While the panel is considering questions, attendees are invited to have tea/coffee/wine and mince pies, and the panel session (to be webcast) takes place from 6 to 7pm.
Be part of the audience in this final “INTO 150” event and contribute a question if you wish. Questions can also be submitted to the panel via Twitter #INTO150Profession or #INTODebates
Our expert panel – chaired by Anne Looney, Dean of Education at DCU – comprises John Carr, former General Secretary of the INTO, Tomás Ó Ruairc, Director of the Teaching Council and Anne O’Gara, former president of Marino Institute of Education.
