INTO head office is aware of a “Join Online” issue which is affecting a small number of teachers seeking to re-join INTO. The effect is confined to those who either had previously been members and left the union or those who had paid their previous subscription by direct payment (rather than through salary deduction). Where such teachers seek to join, an IT issue is arising which affects the application. Those affected are small in number; the issue does not, for example, affect any member who has previously paid through salary deduction and is returning from career break.
We anticipate that this glitch will be fixed within a few days. Our IT service provider is working on it and INTO is receiving updates regarding progress on the fix.
