The INTO has maintained regular contact with the payroll unit within the Department of Education and Skills (DES) in recent weeks.
Personal rate for teachers subbing on career break
INTO has been made aware that there had been a delay in processing, but the DES advised us that the majority of primary teachers who did substitute work while on career break will be paid at their personal rates including arrears today, 3 October.
Increment skips for new entrants
Last month, INTO was made aware of delays in processing increment skips for new entrants. INTO is continuing to pursue these payments with the DES and have been advised that the processing of the skips should recommence later this month.
Tax issues
