INTO has secured a flexible approach to Droichead interim measures following engagement with the Teaching Council. The council have this evening published updated interim measures for NQTs who are involved in the Droichead process during the 2019/20 school year. These updated interim measures now take account of the ongoing engagement by NQTs and Professional Support Teams (PSTs) with the Droichead process since school buildings closed on 12 March, 2020. Any time spent engaging in Droichead after this date can now be included in the verification process.
The INTO encourages NQTs to ensure that they return Form D, which must be co-signed by the PST, to the Teaching Council as soon as possible.
