The INTO is joining with other unions, campaign groups and political parties to support the Raise the Roof campaign, which aims to pressure Government into delivering a New Deal for Housing. With hundreds of thousands of people, including teachers, locked out of the property market due to failed approaches of the past and present, the Raise the Roof campaign is calling on Government to establish a policy framework for affordable housing for rent and purchase. As part of our campaign to force the hand of Government, the INTO has been tapping into the experience of teachers which we reproduce below.
