The INTO invites applications for three positions as paid interns for the school year 2025/26. Two of these positions will be located for work purposes Head Office (35 Parnell Square, Dublin 1). One position will be located in INTO Northern Office (23 – 24 College Gardens, Belfast, BT9 6BS). Remote work may be available in line with INTO policy.
These positions will be filled by INTO members on secondment from their teaching post in the relevant jurisdiction, subject to securing board of management / board of governors approval. Persons appointed will work normal office hours, Monday to Friday, for the school years 2025/26. They will be subject to INTO Head Office or Northern Office conditions and relevant staff policies.

The INTO is seeking members who:
- Are enthusiastic about the INTO and its services.
- Have an interest, and ideally involvement at school/branch level, in the INTO.
- Seek more experience of, and to learn more about, the INTO and its operation while working full time for INTO
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal;
- Are trustworthy and appreciate the confidentiality associated with handling issues for INTO members.
- Are competent in use of IT;
- Have high standards and vision for the INTO and for education.
The responsibilities will include working directly with INTO officials, as assigned, assisting with members’ queries and cases, attending meetings and preparing papers as required, researching specific issues, participation in internal meetings, providing administrative support and such other duties as may be assigned by the General Secretary/ Northern Secretary .
