The Department of Education (DE) yesterday published Circular 0005/2024 Teacher Fee Refund Scheme 2023 detailing the scheme which provides funding towards the cost of course participation and examination fees on successful completion of teacher professional learning courses.
Applications will only be accepted for courses/part of courses completed in the period 1 September 2022 to 31 August 2023.
Applications with the approval of the Principal and Board of Management and/or Education and Training Board are to be made using the online application form.
The closing date for applications is 31 March 2024. Late applications will not be accepted.
Eligibility
Serving primary and post-primary teachers who are registered with the Teaching Council, paid by the State and employed in a DE recognised primary or post-primary schools are eligible to apply for funding under the scheme. Further details can be found in the circular.
