Inattention in the classroom can take various forms. Students may become distracted by their surroundings, such as noises, movements, or interactions with other students. However, inattention can also originate internally when children begin to mind wander. This form of inattention is often more challenging to detect because a student who appears to be looking attentively at the board may actually be lost in thought.
This seminar aims to distinguish between these two types of inattention, emphasizing that, due to their different causes, they require distinct management strategies. You will learn a simple, effective technique to help bring students back to focus and make them more aware of the connection between attention and learning. This approach will equip you with practical tools to foster a more attentive and engaged classroom environment.
