Des Rainey Ambassador of the Year Award
The 2024 winner of the Visit Derry Ambassador of the Year is Mr. Des Rainey, Teacher (Rtd) and Former President of the INTO.
Des, a native of Derry, has dedicated his life to Education. He is a stand out example of what can be achieved through the Ambassador Circle (for more information click HERE) and was instrumental in securing the INTO Congress in April 2024.
Congress, which was the largest ever conference to take place in the City, attracted over 1200 Delegates, guests and exhibitors to the city over three nights and was worth an estimated £1.5m to Derry City.
