This section is to inform INTO members on the matter of teacher redundancies; the agreed procedures and guidelines for handling redundancy situations; and the assistance available to members facing redundancy. The information provided does not purport to be an interpretation of the law relating to redundancy – such interpretations can only be provided through the appropriate judicial bodies e.g. industrial tribunals, Appeal Court (NI) etc.
